    Need help in analysing output from valgrind

    Hi,
    I am a beginer in valgrind.
    I would like to know how to find memory leak on linux.

    The leak summary from valgrind shows:

    ERROR SUMMARY: 0 errors from 0 contexts (suppressed: 21 from 1)
    ==16837== malloc/free: in use at exit: 1,074,633 bytes in 10,810 blocks.
    ==16837== malloc/free: 15,519 allocs, 1,609 frees, 1,171,867 bytes allocated.
    ==16837== For counts of detected errors, rerun with: -v
    ==16837== searching for pointers to 10,810 not-freed blocks.
    ==16837== checked 1,932,792 bytes.
    ==16837==
    ==16837== 1 bytes in 1 blocks are definitely lost in loss record 1 of 203
    ==16837== at 0x401C6CA: calloc (vg_replace_malloc.c:279)
    ==16837== by 0x40570BB: new(newfile.c:1305)
    ==16837== by 0x804AB91: main (file.c:950)
    ==16837==
    ==16837== LEAK SUMMARY:
    ==16837== definitely lost: 1 bytes in 1 blocks.
    ==16837== possibly lost: 0 bytes in 0 blocks.
    ==16837== still reachable: 1,074,632 bytes in 13,909 blocks.
    ==16837== suppressed: 0 bytes in 0 blocks.

    Is the memory leak 10KB(10,810 blocks)? Is this right?

    Thanks in advance

    Well start simply, re-run with verbose option.
