    link between folders

Hello, I want to create a link between the folder /tmp and /dev/shm so that every file is written in the tmpfs instead of the disk but this
    ln -s /dev/shm /tmp
creates a folder in side /tmp named shm linked to /dev/shm but I want /tmp folder itself to be linked not another folder inside it, how can I do ?

    thanks

Have a look at https://elijatech.wordpress.com/2012...ur-tmp-in-ram/ which doesn't use /dev/shm prefering to mount it directly.
