    . represents the current diretory,
    .. represents the parent directory.

    could you help me with this also if you dont mind ?

    How do i go about displaying files in my current directory which are exactly two digits long?

    do i need to use wildcards?

    This sounds like a homework question, which we do not directly answer here according to the forum rules.
    But yes, wildcards will work.
    You must always face the curtain with a bow.
