    Linux app printing question

    Hey all.

So I have been developing an application on Ubuntu. 100% Python code, works just fine.

However I need to print out data at the users request and have no idea what the heck I am doing. For this reason I have yet to select a printer I will be using for this purpose.

So my question is two fold:

    1) I'd like some suggestions on a typical thermal receipt printer that would be compatabile with the most recent version of Ubuntu. Ideally multiple printers are capable of being attached and receiving the information.

    2) What modules/packages etc should I use in my python scripts to get print out some arbitrary amount of data in a specific format.

    Thanks for any insight.

Go to the printer manufacturer or vendor web sites and see if they support Linux - many do. If they do, then they should provide a CUPS driver and configuration files for you to install and use. Also, Google is your friend!
