When I want to md5sum something. I go to the folder that I wish to do the md5sum and right click in the folder in a blank spot
and tell it to open a terminal there. I then do in terminal md5sum <name of file/tab key to autocomplete is your friend>

    Code:
    # md5sum Dark\ X-Men\ -\ The\ Beginning\ 1-3\ \(2009\)\ comicsall.org.rar
