    Need Linux Help, Please!

    Hello,
I have a copy of Red Hat 7.1 and I'm very lost. What disk do I put in to install? How do I install? Do I need a boot disk?

Using one of the disks, I actually loaded the Linux under my bios, but the screen kept going black and that was as far as I got ...

BTW, if there are any redhat linux 7.1 users here, what disk(s) should I use ... It came with a ton.

Did you use Setup Disk 1 on CD or a floppy disk? Also did you boot from that same disk?

I don't have the installation disk ... Or at least I don't have one that says installation cd ...

I only have binary, source code, and third party applications

Can I still make a bootable floppy? How do I make a bootable floppy? BTW, do you have icq or aim?

    Instructions

Have you got the installation instructions that come with the CD.
If not, they're prolly on the CD itself. Check.
Following those instructions should solve your problem.
