    Adding a new hard disk


    Hi,
    i have red hat 7.2. I am currently running out of space and want to add a new hard disk to my system. How should i go about this.
    Can somebody give me the steps or some links, where i can find the info about.

    This is where you should have used LVM from the beginning. Migrating to LVM is indeed possible, though not the easiest thing in the world.
    LVM allows you to merge to hard drives into one. It can be done with software RAID as well, but LVM is probably preferrable in many cases, since it can be reextended at any time with very little effort.
    What does your partitioning scheme look like at the moment?
