    g++ compiler

    Could a guru person please tell me where I can find a g++ compiler that I can download onto Mandrake 10.1. I just wish something that loads. It seems that every bit of s/w that I load requires g++ and frustrating I cannot find any that loads and explicit intructions on how to install it.....please. I am a XP user who wishes to convert to Linux platform, if I have the brainpower to do so

    There should be an option to install gcc and g++ off your Mandrake CDs from the Mandrake Control Center, under "Add/Remove Software" or something to that effect.

    Otherwise you could try using urpmi, but I'll let a Mandrake person explain that one.

    Also, the newest version of Gcc/G++ can always be found at The GCC Homepage.
