    Silly Psuedo-newb question

    I run RH8 (as many of you all know by now since it seems like i say so with every one of my posts ) but when i did the install i looked for someplace to specify the "name" of the box. Basically ... i hate seeing

    brandon @ localhost : cd bleh/blah/bloh

    is there anyway i can manually specify that to something simple like ... "box" or "wearethepeopleoftheworld"? Yea i know, its meaningless ... but i was just curious.

    I think you might also have to add
    Code:
    HOSTNAME=<my_hostname>
    to your /etc/sysconfig/networkfile...
