I jus used emerge to install gift, apollon and the 4 plugins, then run gift-setup to enable all the plugine and there we go

I tested the graphical compiler on FC3, Slackware and mepis, and it was certainly the easiest thing I've ever compiled...

Yup, it even sets up gift for you! But you may experience some problems with apollon not finding the gift-libs (dunno 'bout the newest version), but then you can just copy the gift-libraries and plugins from /usr/local/lib to /usr/lib. Here is the link: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/a...7.run?download

Just make it executable (chmod +x apollon-installer-0.7.run) and run it (as a normal user if I remember corectly, and it will prompt for password and compile + install everything (gift + 3 of the plugins [fasttrack, openft and gnutella] and apollon itself)

EDIT: Sorry, wrong link. Corrected now.
