    cd, they still have power an open up and everything the computer just doesnt read them and stuff.

    I was afraid of that and should have realized that when you stated you couldn't boot from the CD. The CD isn't driven by the BIOS, but rather by a driver at bootup.

    If you can, find out your BIOS version and see if you can upgrade/reflash the BIOS with a newer version which may allow you to boot from the CD.

    How could I the drives completely died, when i say they cant read them i mean that the drives dont even show up in my computer!
