    getting creative usb modem to workin ubuntu


    i recently bought a creative labs usb blaster modem to use with linux well i hooked it up and tried to configure it but it isnt recognized what gives im using hoary 5.04 any chance removing the other modem (pci) might help

    You could try the linuxant drivers(your modem has a conexant chipset).
    Only the demo is for free though...:

    i went out and bought a us robitics pro 56k pci data/fax modem it say it will work with kernel 2.3 and higher i tried to configure it with no luck itried minicom and wv dialthere is a new serial address ttySX but i have to link it help
