I'm trying to make a new partition using partition magic so I can install linux and dual boot, partiton magic does it's dealy and restartsf and then I get error 27 saying that the hard drive is locked, does anyone know how I can unlock it to make a partition? or if there's another way around it etc.

well i cant solve your problem now but what u could have done was use the partitioning tool that comes with most distros instead of using partition magic. maybe it would have helped
