    installing Suse 9.3 already using xp, partition HD


    Iam trying to Partition my current HD which has 150 free space. and im using partition magic. it tells me to either put the partition after or before the original HD. where should i put it? Thanks to those who help. Also help on dual booting would help as well.

    If you boot with the suse cd/dvd, it has a great partitioning tool that will resize NTFS without damaging it.
    And by default, SUSE will set you up with a dual boot.
    After you get through all of the language selection and stuff, you will get to a page that tells what SUSE will do.
    Automatic detection of hardware, partitioning. Just make sure that it says "resizing NTFS to xxx".
    and you will be on your way.
