    How do I display history output one page at a time


    Among other commands I would like to display the history out put one page at a time

    Iam familia r with more but it seems to only work for displaying file data.


    Does any one know of a/the (if ther is?) the option to do so?

    What I had been trying is below captured from my history , i had the right commands but as you can see my syntax was off:

    Code:
      792  history more
      793  more history
      794  more -d history
      795  history more -d
      796  more
      797  more -d
      798  more -d \ history
    
      801  less history
      802  less \history
      803  less \ history
      804  less | history
    and then angst kicked in

    history|less is what you want. What a pipe ("|") does is feed the output of the command on the left to the input of the command on the right.
