Setting default gdm sessions per user

I've been trying to set gdm to have different default sessions for different users. I found something on google that said to put "Session=<windowmanager>" inside your ~/.dmrc file, but that doesn't seem to work. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

When you log in choose which session you want from the selection list. If it's different form the last gdm will ask if you want to make it default. This will be saved for the user logging in and not for other users.

This doesn't seem to be working for me. It asks if I want to make a language default if I use a different one but not for the session.

And that's when you're choosing a different session to the previous?

have a look at this section in /etc/gdm/gdm.conf

    # Normally there is a session type called 'Last' that is shown which refers to
    # the last session the user used. If off, we will be in 'switchdesk' mode where# the session saving stuff is disabled in GDM
    #ShowLastSession=true
