    Well, I went to the SuSE site, and it had a link to Open SuSE. So, it has SuSE 9.3 there, without a lot of the proprietary things though I think. Is it the same quality level as the pay version of SuSE?

    SuSE is so quality minded I doubt there would be much missing other than things like Java, Flash, Mp3, DVD support and other stuff like that you can easily install yourself.

    If you've decided on SuSE, go with 9.3; you can download it for free or pick up CDs on the cheap online.
