How can I access my shares of win2k domain
hye there, I m having trouble while browsing the lan tell me how can i browse my local area network through my linux box. I have given it a static IP address and I have a domain controller of win2k which have lot of shares. I want to access them through my linux box. shortly i just want access to my win2k server and other workstations in LAN. Plzz help me!

Just to let you know, this "network browser" that Windows has and which seems so built in, is really an external protocol called SMB. Many users believe, understandably, that it's almost built in to the functionality of a LAN, since Windows uses it so intrinsically.
There is a suite of programs for linux called samba which let you access SMB servers.
Also, if you run KDE, you can configure "lisa" to let KDE programs see all active computers on you LAN.
