Backing up entire hard drive using find and cpio

I'm trying to modify this command to back up my system to tape (scsi tape drive at st0)

    Code:
    find . -print | cpio -ovH crc -O /dev/st0
However, I want to exclude these directories: /proc, /dev and /mnt

How do I go about this?

Look at find's -prune option. Also consider using -depth so you restore directory timestamps correctly.
