My guess would be a defective CD or CD player. I assume this press any key thing shows up when booting some Windows version CD . Perhaps a memorytest (memtest86) ...

    If there is a CD problem, when i install Fedora there is no problem. Only problem there is a conflict problem with VIdeo card. Do you have any other idea?
