    connection to server


    hi all,
    while i try to connect to host, it gives this error message
    connect to host 192.168.1.84 port 22: No route to host
    can some tell me how to solve it?

    are you running ssh on the server

    /etc/init.d/ssh start


    have you opened it on the firewall


    if you are accessing it outside of your internal network have you got port forwarding to the computer?

    i solve my problem already, it has been shut down suddenly , is it possible for someone to shutdown the server remotely?

    so far i don't know where to shut down my pc from the environment, coz it only give me the logout and screen saver button, can i shut it down using command?
