    history folder


    As a root user, how can i access other people's web browser's history folder?

    My history is under:

    ~/.mozilla/firefox/<profile>/history.dat

    It's not too readable, but you may be able to grep some stuff out.

    Anyway, so go to /home/<user>/.mozilla/firefox/<profile>/history.dat, where <user> is the user you're looking at.

    EDIT:

    This is assuming you mean for Firefox... mozilla is ~/.mozilla/<profile>/<something>/history.dat, and I dunno where Galeon, Konqueror, lynx, etc. store their stuff.

    But does the history get erased once they use the clear history using the option in the browser ?
