    connecting to a windows printer


    I have a network with a linux machine and a few windows pc's. All of the printers are connected to the windows pc's and shared. Is it possible to connect to these shared windows printers with my linux machine? I am running Fedora 4

    You should be able to, I'm not sure what the FC frontends for printer suetup are, but to setup the Common Unix Printing System (CUPS) open up a browser and go to http://localhost:631 where you can setup your printer, which includes remote printers. It should ask you for a username and password, which will be your root username and password.
