    Question Backup configuration?

I want to backup my PCLinuxOS configuration (GAIM settings, Firefox settings, and KDE settings) but I don't exactly know what to do to do that. If anyone knows, please help me out. I want to take them from one computer and put them on another. Thank you.

i think the answer might be just in your home files.

as for firefox all you need to do is backup the profile folder (usually in /home/<username>/.mozilla/) and everything is saved (bookmarks, extensions, themes, cookies, passwords etc.).

accordingly i guess also gaim and the other programs do quite the same.

Your configuration files are all hidden folders in your home folder.

For example, if your user is oosterhouse, your Firefox settings would live in /home/oosterhouse/.mozilla

To see these hidden folders, open up your /home folder in Konqueror and then go to View and Show hidden files.
