    hey guyz,

    i am really new in linux, so pls help me to in.... What is the differents in FAT / NTFS in a EXT2 that the one using by an open course file system?

    Welcome to the forums, Havoc!

    Linux has several different filesystems that you can utilize. FAT / NTFS are of course used by Windows, but ext2 and ext3 are a couple of the file systems used by Linux. I personally like and use the ext3 filesystem, but lots of users are running some version of reiserfs. You'll have to decide for yourself which one you want to go with.
