    Installing gcc 4.0.2

    I am quite a noob at linux and I need to install gcc 4.0.2, an I having some trouble to do it. I have checked the gnu site, but even so I am not able to install it. If someone could help me I would apreciate it.


    PS:I am using ubuntu.

    Do you need 4.0.2 specifically because 4.0.1 is extremely easy to get through apt. Try:
    sudo apt-get install gcc
    to get gcc 4.0.1.
