    Exporting Mail and Settings in Firefox and Thunderbird


    Is there a way to export settings and mail from Mozilla Thunderbird and export settings and extensions and cookies in Mozilla Firefox.

    Your settings live in /home/cheetahman/.mozilla and /home/cheetahman/.mozilla-thunderbird or possibly just /home/cheetahman/.thunderbird

    Those . folders are hidden in your /home directory. Are you using Gnome or KDE?

    in windows Thuderbird is stored here :
    C:\Documents and Settings\cheetahman\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles

    you will have a .default directory there that has extension, mail, etc...

    for FF it's

    C:\Documents and Settings\cheetahman\Application Data\Firefox\Profiles

    and same thing as thunderbird with the .default directory.

    Make sure that on the Folder View option "Display Hidden Files and Folders" is turned on
