    help! Redhat can't access internet


    Hi, all
    I just installed redhat linux and I can't access internet. Please help me with this.

    Machine: Dell XPS 400
    Network Interface: Integrated 10/100/10002 Ethernet.
    Operating System: Redhat Enterprise Linux 4 WS


    I typed command dmesg and no information about NIC.

    Sorry, I do not use RH, but did install FC2 once which is based on it, and also had this issue. Check and/or google about etc/resolv.conf as this has been a known bug in RH/FC product since 1999!

    Apparently host resolution name is placed in the wrong file when using automatic DNS configuration.
