Which should I choose

I did the linux test and it reccommended Xandros, Linspire, SuSE and Ubuntu/Kubuntu.

I have narrowed it down to Xandros and Kubuntu. The only linux experience I've had before is Knoppix. (3.6 and 4.0.2)

So anyway. I have moderate technical knowledge and was wondering. Apart from no DVD burning and no development software what else would I be missing out on if I got Xandros open circulation instead of Kubuntu?

Can I still download all the same software on Xandros (like development software?)

That's about it. There's not a lot of functional difference between Xandros OCE and Kubuntu. It's mostly just whichever interface you like better.

Yes, you can. The only catch is if you don't want to run the risk of breaking Xandros, make sure all the software you download is through their Xandros Networks repositories.

@TechieMoe; thanks, just the type of answer I was looking for.

Looks like I'll get Xandros OCE now, and move onto something like Kubuntu or SuSE later and then possibly to Debian, depends how I like the other distro's
