    installing ubuntu

    hi,
    i downloaded the full ubuntu file ,and have it on my hard disk,i dont have a cd writer so i cant burn the files on cd...i got an extra hdd 2gb capacity..i tried coping the files on to that hdd and tried booting with that hdd...but it dident boot...how do i install the ubuntu os..i have all the files please help
