    jakarta Tomcat problem


    Hello i need to ask about a probelm i face it now
    i downloaded Tomcat 4.0 on linux redhat 8.0 and i already set a path for CATALINA_HOME
    also for JAVA_HOME when i'm trying to run ./startup.sh always i get permission denied , also when i run it as root .. i don't what it's wrong HElp please

    try this first:
    Code:
    chown root startup.sh
    chmod 755 startup.sh
    Im guessing that you dont actually have execute permissions on the file.

    Must i set the classpath to jdsk classes or it's optionaly
