    problem getting internet to work with suse 9


    hi, just finished installing suse 9.0 on my computer. Unfortunately i can't seem to get everything configured right so that i can get on the net. If anyone could walk me through the steps I would be much obliged. If it helps i have dsl plugged in with an ethernet cable, and my provider is earthlink

    searching for rppppoe on the forums just returned 14 matches.. *all* of them with replies. and so you know, rppppoe, is the main pppoe program used in linux for adsl.
    Their code will be beautiful, even if their desks are buried in 3 feet of crap. - esr

    It's usually spelled rp-pppoe, though. I think there would be more hits that way. In case anyone doesn't know, rp stands for Roaring Penguin.
