Hi just got redhat linux, installed fine but i chose the incorrect graphics card, now the screen comes up weird and scrambled and scan lines across it and you can not make out any thing on the screen, I have managed to log on to the command line is there a way i can set up from the command line or any other way to reset my graphics card selection from there.

No, just switch to a unused TTY by clicking eg. Ctrl-Alt-F4 and log in as root, and type "xf86config". Everything should be pretty straightforward there, and when you're done, click Ctrl-Alt-F7 to get back to xfree, restart it by typing ctrl-alt-backspace and if you did everything correctly it should work fine now.

    Good luck
