    run level scripts?

I've just been editing my runlevels to get a faster boot and for an app I'm testing.
I changed many of the servies for rc4 and now if I telinit 4, nothing happens.
Does telinit rely on a service to run?
I acn succesfully telinit other runlevels.
    thanks

Why did you pick rc4? As far as I can tell, it's undefined and won't do much. Did you want rc3?

    rc1.d - Single User Mode
rc2.d - Single User Mode with Networking
rc3.d - Multi-User Mode - boot up in text mode
    rc4.d - Not yet Defined
    rc5.d - Multi-User Mode - boot up in X Windows
    rc6.d - Shutdown

    Hi,
I've been installing a kiosk mod for mozilla and one of the methods for autostarting included changing the rc4 - I guess cos it was undefined.
I have realised my mistake tho - I didn't enter a line correctly in the inittab which was why it did not work.
I've since fixed it but come up against another problem but I'm going to post that separately.
    thanks for your help
