    Help with Pygtk


    Hi everyone!!

    I m trying to install pygtk2.8.0 on my debian and when i do ./configure, i get this error :

    checking for a Python interpreter with version >= 2.3.5... python
    checking for python... /usr/bin/python
    checking for python version... 2.3
    checking for python platform... linux2
    checking for python script directory... ${prefix}/lib/python2.3/site-packages
    checking for python extension module directory... ${exec_prefix}/lib/python2.3/site-packages
    checking for headers required to compile python extensions... not found
    configure: error: could not find Python headers


    Can anyone tell me what to do?

    Install python2.3-dev Package for Debian

    Hi kiki@,
    Install python2.3-dev package for Debian first and then try to install pygtk2.8.0.
