How can I get rid of a demo?

The Quake games are simple to uninstall because they're nearly self-contained in one directory. Even in Windows they didn't bother putting anything in the registry (and it was a beautiful thing). You can just delete the game's directory. There will probably also be a hidden directory called ~/.quake4 or ~/.quake4demo, which has your personal settings. If you're not going to install the demo again, you can also delete this directory. And finally, if it made any Gnome/KDE menu entries, use your menu editor to delete those.Stand up and be counted as a Linux user!
