    Now at this moment i'm downloading the three iso images for core 1.

    Once I have burnt these to my CD's I will proceed to install them.

    What GUI will it install with as I have heard a couple mentioned ie KDE & GNOME.

    you should be able to pick the desktop environment you want to use at installation or at login

    Default Fedora selects Gnome as the main WM.
    But if you install both, you can select what to use at the graphical login screen, if you boot to runlevel 5 that is.

    follow the standard instal procedure that Fedora gives you and you'll end up with a graphical logon manager called gdm, which will leave you at a blue logon screen. From here you will be able to select which GUI you want (sessions at the bottom of the screen). As has previously been mentioned, Gnome is the standard one, but lots of people like KDE. Try them both and see which you prefer.
