    I'm going to install RedHat Fedora onto a PC here, and I'd like to know if my PC font catalog will work in Linux.

    What is PC font catalog? As long as you can get the actual font sources, I don't see a reason why it won't work under Linux (provided that you put them in the correct directory and generate some files).

    I think he means trutype fonts for windows. and I doupt they would work.

    You can use truetype fonts with X if you search Google you will get a few guides. Im not sure if you will get 1000 fonts to work but I have used Verdana, Thaoma etc..
