Linux on an XBOX
i have been talking with someone i've just met. He has an XBOX which he said he would trade for a Playstation2! i said i would do it. Now he's thinking about it and it seems like he might go with it.
In the case that he goes with it i'm just curious if anyone has tried it out. There are a few things i am curious about:
- Does the XBOX still communicate with other "stock" XBOXs?
- Will i need to put a new hard drive in or any other hardware?
- Is there a way to go back to factory defaults if i don't end up liking it? (i am sure i will. But just in case)
- How have you liked using your XBOX with Linux installed?

There is always the Linux on XBOX projet. Apparently you can do it without even opening the thing. They have a nice step by step guide.

Yeah, i went their right after i posted this, i was surprised to find that you don't need to open up the thing. Although i'd like to swap the Hard Drive and get a thirty GB or something bigger. i might end up putting the games i purchase onto the harddrive.
Still though, i've got a lot of reading before i get into it too much. That's if i end up getting it even. The guy who wants to trade seems very indecisive.
i'm still curious as to whether anyone who's tried it liked it or not...
anyone?
