    cant boot into Fedora now??

well in an attempt to setup my graphics driver in Fedora Core 6, changing it from the gereric driver to the Raedon driver, fedora told me to reboot in order to make the changes. logged out and restarted but it not says that X failed to load and asks me if I would like to repair it or something like that. This requires me to put the root password in but it wont let me type it, the keyboard doesnt work, NONE do!! What exactly is going on here, cannot get to the logon screen, nada. Any suggestions and sorry for the long read

Are you sure it's not letting you log in as root? It doesn't echo your password when you type it so it may seem like it doesn't let you type it in but if you do type it in correctly and hit enter you will become root. Then you can configure x to your liking, either by reverting back to your original driver or troubleshooting the problems you're having now. Good luck.

You can login into single mode and fix your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file:

    depending on you bootloader
    instructions for GRUB
    http://elibrary.fultus.com/technical...ng-single.html

    instructions for LILO
    http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/l...ng-single.html

Once you're in single mode (your logged as root) you can edit whatever you want. Incidentally you can use this to fix stuff if you forgot the root password or disabled the root account(good to rememeber) - just edit /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow .

In single mode you can change your driver(it's easy to find) in /etc/X11/xorg.conf to "vesa" and that should allow you to load the graphical interface. You can take it from there
