    PC Reboots

    Hi guys,

I recently installed Mandriva 2006 Live on dual boot with Win XP. Lately my PC has been rebooting itself in a rather random way. I installed a monitor software and it seems that de PC is NOT overheating.

Is it possible that the problem is because of the dual booting?

If it is not possible, could any one point me to other possible reasons for this.

    Thanx.

I don't think it can be dual boot. When does it reboot - after you have loaded the operating system or before that?
Excluding the dual boot as a possibility, I can think of two reasons:
    1. Unstable operating system and of incompatible hardware.
    2. Power failure - if you are running a laptop, you may also want to check your battery. For a desktop PC a really bad power supply can also be the cause.

It reboots after the OS has been loaded.

Thanx in advance for your help

Is XP rebooting or Mandriva? or both? When XP reboots radomly it is usually a virus but Mandriva shouldn't be affected in any way
