Fedora Core 6 (ultra noob question)

    Hi all

I'm new to Linux and have recently installed Fedora Core 6.
When it was first installed, it would automatically go to the GUI.
But now it just goes straight to the command line.

What is the command to get it back to the GUI and then how do I make the changes permanent?

    Thanks in advance,
    Danny

Login as a normal user and run the command "startx". If you manage to login to the GUI successfully, edit /etc/inittab as root and change id:3:initdefault: to id:5:initdefault: .

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
