which linux, internet gateway machine
Hello, I am somewhat familiar with linux and I want to take a small computer (flat, hideable) and instal linux as a server, internet gateway for at least three machines. I was interested in NetMax till i saw the price!!, but it is what i need in ease of config and user interface. It will do fine on a low powered machine, That being intel 333 w/ 196 Mb RAM 20 gig HD.
Can someone recommend something similar that is easy to log into and work with?
TIA

Hi
You could have a look at either Smoothwall or IpCop.
They are both basically hardware firewall systems that are administered after install via a web interface.
They can both handle routing, NAT, DHCP, port forwarding and VPN's etc.
More info here:
www.smoothwall.org
www.ipcop.org
