    audio prob in mandrake


    Having trouble getting audio to work in mandrake 9.2

    THe drivers for my soundblaster are installed etc...yet no audio comes with xmms or totemplayer

    is there somewhere i have to select audio device to use or something? thanks

    Try opening a mixer and checking the volume levels.

    well, got the sound to work on my onboard card...but cant get it to work on sounblaster pci card...turned up sound all the way in mixer on both onboard and pci

    linux might still be using your old onboard sound and ignoring your sound blaster, try changing it to use the sb. don't ask me how to do it. but if your using mandrake then use the control center and select sound and mulitmedia, there might be an option in there.
