After several attempts to install sarge (could not get past command) I gave up and installed etch. During the install of sarge it asked for and indexed all the cds. I assume aptitude uses these indexes.
I am now trying to install a downloaded wine. I dont have a clue how to compile it
I have all the pool folders from the sarge set on the hard drive. I get a dependencie on ** when I try to install wine. When I try to install ** it it depends on ## Im in an endless loop.. I notice wine on the sarge cd It seem to me if the cds were indexed aptitude could access the sarge cds or the pool folders on the hard drive. What am I missing?
