    2hrs for 6Mb!!!!!!!

    Hey all.

I'm attempting to download a patch of 6.6Mb..., a kernel update, however
    it's taking forever!
I'm on a dial-up connection so i know its gunna be slow but my last attempt
lasted over an hour, and i still only got 51% through. The patch contains two updates, kernel default and kernel source. I've tried all the mirrors and they all seem to give me the same result so do i have to do something so the system can do this or is the only way to fix it by downloading source rpm's which are, of course considerbaly larger?

I downloaded a kernel source tarball on a dial-up line using an external serial modem and it took *three* hours, but it all got through in the end. Do what I did: set it up and go out shopping!
