    Where does Aptitude install files to?

    How do I find out where apt-get installs software to? Is there a single folder like C:\program files in windows? Is there a file with a list of all of the directories it has installed?

    its not like Windows. binary ( executable ) file are installed in /usr/bin or /usr/sbin folder. library files in /usr/lib folder. check this link.
