Linux RedHat OS for an AcerNote 350

    Hiyas,

    Here goes.

I have an AcerNote 350 laptop. It is a 586, has 516MB HDD and has 16MB RAM.

Yes, I know it is old. It currently runs Win95. I would like to install a Linux RedHat 0S on it. I have been having difficulty finding system requirements etc for older RedHat versions.

    What version do you reccommend?

    9.0

uhh, these are the rcommended specs for red hat 9.0, the earliest suported distro from red hat

    # Linux
    # Pentium 400 or greater processor
    # 192 MB RAM
    # 5.0 GB
    # CD ROM drive

but to be honest, u can probably find iso's for 7.0 and such, i have a friend running 7.2 on a very small partition, i dont remeber exactly, but im pretty sure there wont be anythign out hrere with active support from a corporation, but thats not the point of linux is is? No, its open source, so look at some of the older versions, or mabey knoppix or something that is bottable from a cd-rom (more storage than ur hd).
