    Debian install

    Just installed the linux winamp... /usr/loca./src/winamp/ Its a rpm so I used alien to install it Which itdid Any attempt to reinstall says the newest version is already installed.. Ok where is it ? Its not in the app menu.. I pull a 120 gig hard drive form a usb and do a search in /filesystem executable . It searches for 30 min no results.. How does one launch it ?

    Why are you installing a rpm package in debian?
    If you want to install winamp in debian
    apt-get udpate
    then
    apt-get install winamp
