Dual Boot?
K, I currently dual boot by using different hard drives, but lets say if I wanna install Windows 98 and Linux on the same HD how would I go about doing that?? I have 98 installed on a 4GB* parttition, and have a FAT32 4GB* parttition with nothing on it.

delete 4GB partition that you kept aside ( free ) for Linux. dont format it.
during installtion. select 'Unpartitioned/free space for install'. Linux installer will take care of creation/format of partitions and dual boot. Dual boot setup is default in all Linux Distros.

I thoght I sholda left it unformatted, but I needd it temorarilly [not any more]..... I installed MS workds and it only installed off drive D which wuz the letter for that unformated partition. so, use fidsk, delete parttition, then run linux setup and itll create a dual boot thing in which I can select the OS [Linux or Win98??]

duel boot
I am not sure what Distro you are using but if it is Fedora or similar, your system will boot to Linux by default, you will need to watch your screen while the computer boots up and hit enter just as you see the Linux intro screen loading, then it will give you a menu, otherwise you can crawl into your configuration files in Linux and modify it to boot to windows by default or bring up a menu by default. again, this is assuming you are using Fedora. I think Ubuntu works the same way. if you are using Fedora, stay away from the 64 bit version, I have been having nothing but trouble when it tries to install updates, who knows what other surprises it is holding in wait for me.

During installation right after selecting the boot loader you will be prompted, both in FC n RH to select you default OS. Once you do that no need to run around the configuration files.
